Functions

 

The British Federation of Racial Equality Councils’ functions are:

To represent, promote and protect at national, European and international levels, the interests of those organisations in the English regions, Scotland and Wales which have the same or similar objects as BFOREC.

To work in partnership with organisations in the English regions, Scotland and Wales which have the same or similar objects as BFOREC in order to assist them in building their strategic effectiveness and capacity to provide high quality services.

To work with international, European, national, and regional bodies to develop and implement effective strategies in furtherance of the aforementioned objects.

To facilitate policy development, community development, education and training, research, strategic planning of provision, service and quality improvement, the search for, acquisition and allocation of funds, marketing and promotion, consultancy, and other kindred activities in furtherance of the aforementioned objects.

To provide information and advice for and about the work and achievements of race equality councils and other bodies with similar objects and functions.
